I speak three languages
Engineering Language
Before starting my career in design, I worked as a Verification/QA Engineer at leading semiconductor companies, including MediaTek, Ambarella, and Realtek. With a B.S. in Industrial Engineering, I collaborated with cross-functional teams to design systems on chips for top companies like Samsung, Huawei, Toshiba, Panasonic, and GoPro.
This experience not only made me a tech enthusiast but also helped me speak fluently in the language of Engineering, with a focus on feasibility and reliability.
Business Language
During my time as an engineer, I became increasingly curious about how decisions were made that impacted product direction. To satisfy my curiosity, I enrolled in the business management certificate program at UCSD, which proved to be a pivotal moment in my life. I had the opportunity to meet people from various industries and fields, and through this journey, I sharpened my business acumen and leadership skills, enabling me to better tackle marketing strategy and understand the tradeoffs from business requirements while designing a product. It was during this time that I discovered my passion for User Experience and decided to switch my career path to this profession.
Design Language
Driven by my self-motivated personality and constant desire to learn, I graduated from the Human Centered Design and Engineering program, where I learned to integrate different disciplines and leverage the Human Centered Design principles to drive the product design process.
With my multi-disciplinary knowledge and skills in engineering, business, and design, I excel at understanding and coordinating between cross-functional teams, providing viewpoints from different perspectives in the UX position. My ability to shape product strategy by leveraging business and verification perspectives makes me an asset to any team I work with.
